Under this scheme, taxpayers can claim an allowance of up to 55% of their total portfolio value over a 20-year period. Incorporating TENONV as one of these 5 units can unlock this advantageous benefit.

Consider this example:
  • Imagine you currently own 4 apartments with a total value of R5,000,000.
  • Upon purchasing an additional unit at TENONV for R1,600,000, your total portfolio value rises to R6,600,000.
  • Based off the tax allowance calculation of up to 55% of your portfolio value, you could potentially unlock up to R3,630,000 in tax reductions over a 20-year period.
  • Of this R3,630,000, SARS will allow you a 5% annual claim, which equates to R181,500 per year reduction off of your taxable income – thus paying less TAX
